A massive Thank You to Ian & Kat, Ali & Jo, Claire & Kenny, and Kev & Alice.
Every wedding I was lucky enough to attend was brilliant.
Kev's wedding was this weekend just passed. It was awesome. I had to give a speech. I think it went well. I got a fair few drinks out of it so I was happy.
I will get around to writing about all these weddings eventually, but I have been very busy for the past few weeks with a couple of projects, I'm not quite ready to share these with the world yet, but soon.
I am also unsure as to when I will be able to write on this blog again.
I am gonna be incredibly busy for the next few weeks as I have a new job. It's just temporary until I go back to school, but hopefully it will give me enough money to survive. As regular readers will know I have been having a lot of money problems lately.
It's gotten to the point where, yesterday I was in town and I saw a bus coming around the corner and I thought to myself, if I get hit by that bus I could sue! As long as he just hits my arm or something, not a full running over. I would get a shit load of money. I'd probably also get to star in one of those claims direct adverts. Brilliant.
I didn't get hit by the bus, He was too good a driver.
Bastard.
So with any luck I'll get enough cash from this new temp job to get me through until student loan day.
I do love student loan day.
Hopefully I will see you all soon.
Don't miss me too much.
That's All For Now
Until Next Time
Have A Nice

I got back from Ian's wedding in Edinburgh late on Sunday night. It was a great weekend and a fantastic time to start off my wedding season.
One down, four to go.
I'll get round to writing about it soon. I should really write about his stag do first. I'll try and get it done within a couple of weeks.
Or maybe I won't.
Maybe I'll keep it all private and not tell anyone anything, and then I'll release a tell all book.
A book chronicling my adventures at everyones stag do's and weddings.
I could reveal secrets.
I could tell everyone what really happened to Ian's face.
I could reveal the the identity of who was lucky enough to share a bed with me in Edinburgh.
I could tell all the behind the scenes gossip of the other weddings I am going to attend.
And I might make a couple o quid.
hmmm.
That's actually not a bad idea.
Ne way
Sorry I kind of went off on a tangent there.
So Monday morning came and I arrived at school early as it was my editing class. We don't get much time on these machines so I take any time I can get. And after an hour of playing about, I was done!
The movie is finished.
I have a quicktime version saved on my computer right now!
How awesome is that?
It is such a massive relief.
Anyone who was in class today will tell you how annoying I was. I spent most of the morning dancing about like a fucking idiot while I waited for the computer to compress and export my movie.
Our lecturer was ill so we were given the rest of the day off, but no rest for the wicked. I went home and immediately started burning copies of my film to DVD. The cast will be receiving these in the next few days. As will a couple of other valuable friends who's input I greatly appreciate.
As for the rest of you. You'll just have to wait. I'll put it up on you tube in a couple of weeks.
The film came in at 13 minutes and 58 seconds, which means it'll have to be uploaded in two parts, which is annoying, but necessary.
It was supposed to be between 5 -10 but its not that big a deal.
I was quite nervous when the head of our department came in to the edit suite and asked to see a couple of films.
But as I like to say,
Bring it on!
So he sat down and watched my film.
and I quote,
"This is excellent."
"This is a professional standard production."
HELL YEAH!!!
After hearing such a good review I decided a celebration was in order.
I bought the finest cake that Aberdeen College coffee shop had to order.
It wasn't really worth the £1.15 I paid for it.
I was chuffed at my review, although personally I can't stand the fucking film anymore. I have watched it approximately 350 times. and its starting to get on my fucking tits!
I realised that this film has essentially been reduced to a series of in jokes that only myself and about 6 other people will get.
Here's a sneak preview, if you can't see the picture very well, double click on it and it should get bigger.
Just like me if you rub my leg.
This particular picture features a blog page of one of the main characters, in it he is dancing to a song like a nutter.
If you read all the text in the pictures you will see it all has some relevance to me in some small way.
Who ever can explain the most references will receive a complimentary copy of the movie on DVD.
So after burning several copies of the DVD I turned to my remaining paperwork.
I had to:
Write a script for a documentary
Tidy up the two scripts I had already written
Write up a treatment for these three documentaries
Write a cover letter and a Media CV for a fictional Job
Write a 1000 word essay about how to start a business in the creative industries.
And I got it all fucking done!
In under 3 hours!
Hell yeah!
And I didn't even have a Red Bull (I can't afford it, but god damn I'd really, really love one tho!)
That's all my work handed in.
As many of you know I have been a miserable bastard lately. I can honestly say this is the happiest I have felt in months!
I am still incredibly broke, but I have a couple of potential summer job opportunities on the horizon. Im still skint in the mean time but I might possibly be able to get through the summer.
I doubt it, but maybe. Still dunno what I'm gonna do this time next year when my course is over.
I can hear RS McColl's beckoning me now.
I am not in school again till Thursday morning, and next week is my last week. So once my lecturer marks all my paperwork, realises that 97% of it is total bollocks, that gives me a few days to fix it.
It doesn't help that I leave for Kev's Stag do on thursday afternoon and don't come back to Monday night.
So I'd say there's a good chance that I'll be doing college work in the car trips to and from Kev's stagger down south.
Speaking of Kev's stag do, I have been given an official warning regarding his safety, from his Mum.
She had a look at the photo's from Ian's stag do I uploaded to facebook. I suspect she saw the following two photo's and started to panic.
I received this comment,
Well Mr's Watt, don't worry about those pictures, Ian did that to himself, he's a very silly boy! I'm sorry but I can't promise anything regarding the safety of your son, you'll need to talk to the best man. Jonesy is the man in charge. I'm sure everything will be fine, after all Jonesy got through his own stag fine, he only walked away with a bit of mud in his hair.
And Ian if you are reading this, I hope you're happy! You have poor Kev's mum scared half to death.
You are a silly boy!
And if anyone is wondering how Ian did that to his face on his stag do, you'll have to wait for my tell all book!
Coming this Fall to an internet near you!
I'd like to once again say a massive thanks to all my cast and crew on the film, you guys were brilliant. You will get a DVD through your door within a few days.
You guys were all brilliant, its just a shame the movie is shite!
Sorry, like I say I've seen it far too many times now, it's just become a blur of pictures.
Everyone who has seen it so far has enjoyed it.
Although I have been standing next to them while they were watching it and they probably felt obliged to say that.
Come to think of it I did give my Mum a copy about 8 hours ago and I still haven't heard anything from her.
Although that wouldn't stop her telling me it was crap. She has always been overwhelmingly honest with me. When I switched to contact len's after wearing glass's for several years her first words to me were,
"You look like a pedophile."
Like I said, overwhelmingly honest.

Out of the next ten people who subscribe to this blog 2 of them will receive a free copy of my movie on DVD. Will it be you?
Why is this particular USB stick so awesome i hear you cry?
Does it contain government secrets?
Does it contain naked pictures of your mum?
Does it contain the Doctor Who Season finale?
Now that would be truly awesome!!
No, my friends, this USB stick contains almost all of my paperwork for my first year of college!
YES it's finally done! I have spent the past 2 days essentially working non stop, and its done!
I even skipped lunch today. That't the first time I've skipped a meal in a long time. Anyone who's seen me in the flesh recently will verify this.
To celebrate the completion of my paperwork, and because he felt sorry for me skipping lunch, my classmate Ian bought me a cake.
It was very nice, altho I don't know what type of cake it was. If only they would put labels on these things.
I spent £15 on printer credit at the IT centre and about an hour printing stuff out! The people sitting beside me seemed to be quite pissed off at my hogging of the printer!
After printing I then spent another hour organising and neatly placing into my folder.
My tutor seemed quite impressed. She said she's sure I'm going to get an A based on what she's seen.
but
All she's really seen of my paperwork is a big folder full of paper. She hasn't seen what's written on that paper.
And I am fairly certain that 95% of the stuff in my lovely blue folder is bollocks!
That being said I am particularly proud of my evaluation essay. This essay was written at the conclusion of my filming, and is meant to be a self evaluation of your progress through the creative project and your thoughts on your strengths and weakness's. It's meant to be approximately 750 words long. Mine was 2918.
I won't bore you with the whole essay, so here's a couple of highlights.
After my script was finalized and my location reccie was complete I moved onto the very daunting task of storyboarding. I say daunting because I cannot draw, I have the artistic skills of a drunken monkey, a drunken monkey with no hands, a drunken monkey with no hands, and the use of only one eye.
I came up with what I thought was a genius solution, I got some friends together and went to the restaurant when it was closed and storyboarded using my digital camera. My friends and I acted out the entire script and took pictures of the shots I wanted. Sadly I could only convince three of my friends to help me, and I had a cast of 7 characters, this meant that we had to double up, and 2 of us would have to play both a man and a woman. Myself and my friend donned the wigs and acted out our various scenes, and photo’s were taken. We were not very attractive but for the purposes of the storyboard, it was suitable.
The essay then goes on to explain how at the beginning of this project I was slightly over confident and cocky. Being the idiot that I am I did not see the problems that were right in front of me. I also talked about being slightly let down by a couple of people throughout the whole year. This led me to the conclusion of my essay which I am particularly proud of.
I hope that this time next year, when I am approaching the end of this course, if I am writing another one of these evaluation essays I will be writing about the overwhelming sense of achievement and have nothing negative to say. If all goes according to plan that’s what will happen. I am on the whole satisfied with my creative project and I know that next time I will not make the same mistakes I have this time. Many years ago a great man named George Lucas wrote a trilogy of films, and if I may quote from the the finale of said trilogy, I feel this sums up a couple of my weakness’s.
Luke Skywalker
“ Your over confidence is your weakness.”
The Emperor
”and your faith in your friends is yours”
I feel that sums up two of my larger weakness’s I encountered throughout this project, sadly I couldn’t find a suitably apt quote about suffering from a slight sense of disorganization and depression about personal finances.
My impossible search continues.
So that's it for the majority of my paperwork. Tomorrow morning I am in the edit suite to hopefully finish off the movie, then tomorrow afternoon I am off to Edinburgh for Ian's Wedding.
Which I am now looking forward to so much more that the paperwork is out of the way. It's such a good feeling.
A weight has been lifted.
Literally.
I've been carrying around that folder in my bag for months now.
I am still not finished everything. I still need to write another factual script, write a 1000 word essay about starting your own business in the media industry and finish up the edit on the movie. Not too mention fixing all the stuff on the paperwork I just handed in.
But for this weekend, I am no longer the gigantic ball of stress I once was.
I'm a medium sized ball of stress.
In other news I have finally managed to track down a Boat Hat.
Regular readers will be aware I've been looking for a suitable boat hat for Kevs Stag Do for a while now.
Thank you very much to my friend Laura for pointing me in the right direction to find the most perfect stag do boat hat you've ever seen.
It has been ordered and delivery is within the next 5-12 days. I leave for Kev's Stag Do in 7 day.
So here's hoping it arrives in time.
Anyway off to Ian's wedding I go.
I haven't posted about Ian's stag do yet, I wanted to get the wedding out of the way first. Plus I have been incredibly busy with the previously mentioned paperwork. I'll get round to it sometime within the next couple of weeks.
Now I must leave you. I'm off to celebrate handing in my paperwork with a bowl of spaghetti and a caramel slice!

Until Next Time

One year ago today I was optimistic about getting into the RSAMD. I was uncertain about the future, I was working like a bastard in Tapas Towers, and I'm farily certain I wasn't this fat.
Who know's where's I'll be when this blog hits its second birthday?
With any luck I'll be nearly finished my second year and final year at school and filling out an application form for that job at R.S. Mccoll.
Or maybe not, maybe I will finally crack and beat one of the customers in the restaurant to death.
Maybe my dedicated fans at Wowzies will make me a spokesperson and I can make enough money to retire at the ripe old age of 28.
I am cautiously optimistic about the year ahead, as I stated a few weeks ago, I will be 28 at the end of June. I have ran the numbers and 28 should be my perfect year. Click here if you don't believe me.
In the short term I have 4 weeks to finish my school work and then roll on the summer.
I have 4 weddings this summer (hopefully no funerals).
Wedding 1
Ian & Kat
June 12th
Edinburgh
Ian is getting married on an island a short ferry ride from Edinburgh. Ian is quite possibly the most organised person I have ever met in my entire life so I expect his wedding to be exceptional. Due to unexpected circumstances he even organised his own stag do.
I really think Ian's wedding is gonna set the bar pretty high. I have no role in this wedding, as I have written before about the various roles in weddings you will realise I am quite glad of this, mainly because I fully expect to be incredibly drunk for the entire weekend in Edinburgh.
That being said, the last time I saw Ian he did mention something to me about Bob and I being the flower boys.
Ians stag do kicks off tomorrow, an activities weekend in Aberfeldy, I will let you know if Ian makes it through the weekend alive. He probably will, and Ian if you're reading this, don't worry mate, I'm sure you're hair will grow back after we shave it all off, strip you down, tie you to a lampost cover you in treacle and leave you for a few hours.
Oops, have I just spoiled the surprise?
Wedding 2
Ali & Jo
July 3rd
Haddo House
Ali had his stag do last weekend and sadly I couldn't make it. I simply can't afford it at the moment. I am truly sorry I missed it. It certainly counds like it was interesting, on the first day Ali broke his leg.
Looking forward to seeing the first dance at his wedding. Ali is getting married at Haddo House, a place which until two weeks ago I thought only did pantomimes.
Wedding 3
Claire & Kenny
July 16th
Somewhere in the countryside
I have no idea where they are actually getting married, I have been told the name, but I have no dea where it actually is. Ian is meant to be loooking into somewhere for us to stay, and I will be relying on him for transport, this should be a great wedding. The last time myself and this particular gang of people had a big night out was Claire's 21st. And at the end of that night I ended up posting my superman underwear through someones letter box.
And this is the wedding to finish off the summer, I have a vital role in this wedidng, I am the master of ceremonies, I have a bell to ring and everything! I think Kev's wedding could quite possibly be the best of the bunch, not just cos I have a small role in it, but because it's gonna be epic. And it think that adequalty explains it. Kev's having his stag do in mid June when we are going on a canal boat holiday. Having worked on the QE2 for a couple of years my experience will no doubt be invaluable. I'm still on the look out for some sort of hat that is appropriate for a stag do on a boat. If anyone see's anything then let me know.
Even tho at all of these weddings I am not meant to make a speech, I am thinking of making one anyway, or at least getting up on stage and having a sing song. However, being the drunken idiot that I am, I suspect it might go a little bit, like this.

If you do subscribe then I will show you photo's of what we will have done to Ian and Kev on there stag do's.
If Ian and Kev are reading this, be afraid, be very afraid.
Today i'm gonna talk about Ian. Ian is awesome. And he is the star of one of my favourite ever photographs.
Ian and I met when I first joined the QE2. He left shortly after I joined but we shared many many drunken adventures together. Ian is also the man who got me the job in New York. He had the same job 2 years previously. I only wish he gave me some better warnings regarding what I was letting myself in for.
Ian is quite possibly one of the most organised people on the planet. Which is brilliant when it comes to our trips away. When we went to Dublin he had everything planned down to the minute. However when we started on the guinness that plan kind of went out the window,
Ian now lives the easy life as a teacher in a catering college in Edinburgh. He gets paid a ridiculous amount of money and has far too much time off.
Ian is getting married in a few weeks. It will be the first of 4 weddings I have this summer and I think this one will def set the bar pretty high.
I'm also going on his stag do in a couple of weeks. I'll be sure to write about that afterwards. Assuming he survives.
A Poem For Ian
My friend Ian works as a teacher,
I hope he likes his friendly friday feature.
We first met on the QE2,
In a couple of weeks we'll be on his stag do.
I hope he makes it back alive,
if not I'll take his job, I'd love a 9-5.
For his honeymoon he's going on a cruise,
at his wedding I'll drink lots of booze.
I'll drink and I'll dance and I'll have a good time,
I'm very sorry for the quality of this rhyme.
Here's a video from one of Ian's favourite films.
