What's a pseudonym I hear you cry? (Not literally.)

A pseudonym is a fictitious name used by a person or sometimes a group.

In order to protect peoples privacy I will occasionally changes peoples names.

Quite often in the blog I write about the restaurant where I work, or places I have worked in the past. I have assigned these places a pseudonym. The reason for this, is I don't want to get into trouble. I don't want someone to Google my restaurant trying to find the phone number, and find this blog with me having a moan about the fooking pain in the arse customers!

THIS POST tells a little bit about my job history and why I left various places over the past couple of years 

Place I have worked:

The QE2 
The QE2 is not actually a pseudonym, I actually used to work on The QE2. From March 2003 -July 2005. I spent my days on what was essentially a cross between a posh caravan and a floating old folks home. I worked pretty hard in those days. How I managed to keep the job so long I don't know. I was rude to the customers, frequently turned up hungover, or still drunk. And pretty damn incompetent. Despite this, they actually promoted me. When I left I was a working as a waiter in the top restaurant on board. Worrying eh?
I had a great time working on board, the beer was cheap and I got to travel the world for free. Not too shabby.

Vincents - Aberdeen
I worked here from August 2005 to April 2008 as Manager. I recently returned to Vincents as a part time manager.

The Club - Aberdeen
Below Vincents Restaurant is a nightclub, I have imaginatively assigned the pseudonym The Club. I didn't work there much when I worked upstairs full time. Since I returned to Aberdeen and part time management, I am getting more and more shifts in The Club. I have yet to decide if this is a good thing.

Luigi's - New York
My good friend Ian worked here as a Deputy Manager several years ago. I was after a change of scene and Ian managed to get me a job in this New York Seafood Restaurant. I worked in the NYC for 6 months in 2008. It wasn't the best restaurant, and a lot of the time I hated it. But I made some good mates and I'm glad I went.

Tapas Towers- Edinburgh
I worked here as an assistant manager from November 2008 to August 2009. I also did a temporary stint during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2010. I really enjoyed working here, all the staff were great banter, I got tips, I got fed every day and I had very little responsibility. Brilliant.
